downwardasthepistonring
slipsintothecylinder.
-Removetheclampingstrap
andwoodenassemblyblock.
-Lineupthecylinderandgasket.

Usesocket(1)08125422104
totightendowncylinderbase
screwsto9.0Nm(6.6lbf.ft).
Assembleallotherpartsinthe
reversesequence.
-Removethepiston-see5.5.1.
Note:Thepistonmustbe
removedtomakesurethatno
residuecanfallintothecrankcase
wheninstallingthepistonringand
cleaningitsgroove.
-Removeringfrompiston.
•
Useapieceofoldpistonring
toscrapethegrooveclean.
•
Installthenewpistonringinthe
groovesothattheradii(1)face
thefixingpin(2).
-Installthepiston-see5.5.2.
-Removethecylinder-see5.5.1.
•
Removetheflywheel(1),starter
cup(2)andpiston(3).
•
Removethepuller(4).
•
Pulltheenginepanoffthe
crankcase.
•
Liftcrankshaftoutofcrankcase.
-Inspectballbearingsandoil
sealsandreplaceifnecessary.
