Storage conditions
3.5 Storage conditions
If the knitting machine is to be stored for a longer period of time the following
tasks must be carried out:
1. Clean the knitting machine thoroughly.
2. Lubricate knitting machine.
3. When the knitting machine is tran
sported to ano
ther place, the transport
locks must be applied.
4. All bare metals must be sprayed with
an anti-corrosion material
(e.g. WD-40).
5. Cover the area yarn carrier rods -needle bed
s with gas paper/anti-rust
paper.
6. Cover the knitting machine with a protective
foil.
7. Store the knitting machine in a dry place within a building.
Storage temperature -15 °C to +60 °C.
Protect the machine carefully from corrosion especially
agains
t sea air.
In case of a longer storage check
the condition of the
machine regularly and spray the bare metals with an anti-
corrosion material if necessary.
