Why is the drive chain breaking on my Sukup Industrial Equipment Sweepway?
    • D
      dawnpottsAug 4, 2025
If the drive chain is breaking on your Sukup Industrial Equipment's 8" or 10” Sweepway, the issue might be grain piling up in the center of the bin. Ensure that the center sump gate is fully open to resolve this.

What to do if the sweep is not filling the unload auger to capacity in my Sukup Sweepway Industrial Equipment?
    • S
      Sean TaylorAug 10, 2025
If the sweep isn't filling the unload auger to capacity on your Sukup Industrial Equipment, it might not be moving fast enough. You can increase a 10” sweep auger capacity 10% by increasing the size of the lower gearbox 18-tooth sprocket to a 20-tooth sprocket, (Kit E7987). To increase an 8” sweep auger capacity 20%, increase the size of the lower gearbox 12-tooth sprocket to a 15-tooth sprocket, (Kit E7986). Alternatively, increase a 10” sweep auger capacity by increasing the size of the lower gearbox 18-tooth sprocket to a 24-tooth sprocket, (Part #J16957). Note that you may have to lengthen the chain when using the 24-tooth sprocket, which will increase the speed by 30%.

Why is the sweep not moving around the bin in my Sukup Sweepway?
    • J
      Jennifer Baker MDAug 16, 2025
If the sweep is not moving around the bin in your Sukup Industrial Equipment, it could be due to several reasons. * The scraper might be too close to the floor; in this case, raise the scrapers up. * If the bent edge is down by the floor, turn the scraper around so the sharp edge is at the bottom. * Obstacles may be hindering forward movement. Check for any obstacles that the scraper could be catching on and raise the scraper if needed.

How to fix dramatically reduced capacity when using an incline auger in Sukup Industrial Equipment?
    • D
      David StantonAug 23, 2025
If the capacity is dramatically reduced when using an incline auger with your Sukup Industrial Equipment, especially with very small or hard-flowing grains like rice, wheat, or soybeans, weld a piece of flighting (6-8" incline use Part #E5638, 8-10" incline use Part #E5639) onto the end of the unload auger to extend the flighting fully to the U-joint. This will reduce the gap that grain has to flow through, thereby increasing capacity.

What to do if the connector link keeps coming off in my Sukup Sweepway?
    • G
      Gloria BradyAug 28, 2025
If the connector link keeps coming off on your Sukup Industrial Equipment, it's likely that the connector link is on backwards. Ensure the connector link clip has the closed end leading the chain around.
