2.4 Rack Mounting Instructions
This section provides information on installing the chassis into a rack unit with the rails
provided. There are a variety of rack units on the market, which may mean that the assembly
procedure will di󰀨er slightly from the instructions provided. You should also refer to the
installation instructions that came with the rack unit you are using. Note: This rail will t a
rack between 28" and 33.5" deep.
Overview of the Rack Rails
The package includes two rail assemblies. Each is specically designed for the left or right
side of the chassis, and so marked. Each rail consists of two sections: a front section which
secures to the front post of the rack and a rear section which adjusts in length and secures
to the rear post of the rack.

Adjusting the Rail Length
Each rail assembly has a locking screw to adjust the length of the rail to t the depth of your
rack.
