1D-50 Engine Mechanical:
Starter Motor
• Install the starter motor (1). Refer to “Starter Motor
Removal and Installation in Section 1I (Page 1I-3)”.
LT-F400/F
Crankshaft
• When mounting the crankshaft in the crankcase, it is
necessary to pull its left end into the crankcase with
the special tools.
Special tool
(A): 09910–32812 (Crankshaft installer)
(B): 09913–70210 (Bearing installer set)
CAUTION
!
Never fit the crankshaft into the crankcase by
striking it with a plastic hammer.
Always use the special tools, otherwise the
accuracy of the crankshaft alignment will be
affected.
Balancer
• Install the balancershaft (1).
• Install the key (2).
• Install the balancershaft driven gear (3) with aligning
the punch marks.
Transmission
• Install the front output shaft (1) and rear output shaft
(2). (LT-F400F)
• Install the rear output shaft (2). (LT-F400)
