Muffler / Exhaust Pipe Removal and Installation

Removal
1) Remove the right inner fender. Refer to “Exterior
Parts Removal and Installation in Section 9D
(Page 9D-3)”.
2) Remove the rear fender. Refer to “Exterior Parts
Removal and Installation in Section 9D (Page 9D-
3)”.
3) Loosen the muffler connecting bolt (1).
4) Remove the muffler (2).
NOTE
Support the muffler to prevent it from falling.
5) Remove the exhaust pipe (3).
NOTE
Support the exhaust pipe to prevent it from
falling.
Installation
Install the exhaust pipe/muffler in the reverse order of
removal.
Pay attention to the following points:
• Install new exhaust pipe gasket (1) and connector (2).
CAUTION
!
Replace the removed gasket and connector
with new ones.
