Engine Mechanical: 1D-15
Tighten the cylinder head nuts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
Cylinder head nut (8 mm) (Initial): 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-
m, 7.0 lb-ft)
Cylinder head nut (8 mm) (Final): 25 N·m (2.5 kgf-
m, 18.0 lb-ft)
Tighten the cylinder base nuts to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
Cylinder base nut: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.0 lb-ft)
Camshaft
Align the line “A” on the generator rotor with the index
mark “B” on the crankcase.
CAUTION
!
Pull the cam chain upward, or the chain will
be caught between crankcase and cam drive
sprocket.
Install the C-ring (1) and cam chain tensioner (2).
Install the camshaft and camshaft sprocket.
CAUTION
!
Install the camshaft sprocket so that the
stamped mark side faces outside.
Align the marks “C” on the camshaft so that they are
parallel with the surface of the cylinder head.
Engage the hole of the camshaft sprocket with the
locating pin “D” on the camshaft.
NOTE
Do not rotate the generator rotor while doing
this. When the sprocket is not positioned
correctly, turn the sprocket.
Tighten the cam chain tensioner bolt (3).
Tightening torque
Cam chain tensioner bolt (a): 13 N·m (1.3 kgf-m,
9.5 lb-ft)
