Engine Mechanical: 1D-53
• Assemble the crankcase within few minutes.
• Tighten the crankcase bolts to the specified torque.
NOTE
Tighten the larger diameter crankcase bolts
first and then smaller ones diagonally and
evenly.
Tightening torque
Crankcase bolt (M6): 11 N·m (1.1 kgf-m, 8.0 lb-ft)
Crankcase bolt (M8): 26 N·m (2.6 kgf-m, 19.0 lb-ft)
• After the crankcase bolts have been tightened, check
if the each shaft rotates smoothly.
• Install the oil separater (1).
Starter Driven Gear
• Install the starter driven gear (1).
• Install the key (2)
NOTE
Degrease the tapered portion of the
generator rotor assembly and of the
crankshaft. Use nonflammable cleaning
solvent to wipe off the oily or greasy matter
to make these surfaces completely dry
Generator Rotor
• Install the generator rotor assembly.
CAUTION
!
Make sure that the one way clutch on the
crankshaft is fitted into the generator rotor
properly.
• Tighten the generator rotor nut to the specified torque
with the special tool.
Tightening torque
Generator rotor nut: 140 N·m (14.0 kgf-m, 101.0
lb-ft)
