• Secure the cooker hood to the wall by
means of the edge pieces and to the adja-
cent upper cabinet fastening it with screws
through the holes in the upper section's
edge plates (see illustration above). Be sure
to position the cooker hood horizontally.
The safety clearance between cooker hob
and cooker hood's grease filter should be
at least 500 mm. Above a gas hob unit,
the safety clearance should be 650 mm.
• Adjust the cooker hood's position, in
closed state, to align it with the upper
cupboard depth-wise. The screw for ad-
justment is marked in red in the illustration
below. If needed, you can replace the ad-
justment screw (M6 threads) with a longer
screw, if the depth of the upper cabinet is
more than 330 mm. A suitable length for
the adjustment screw can be estimated by
reducing the depth of the upper cabinet
structure by 285 mm.
• Connect the ventilation duct from the
outlet duct to the cooker hood's outlet
spigot when you have mounted the cooker
hood on the wall.
• Finally connect the cooker hood to the
wall outlet and fit the cover panel or spice
rack above the cooker hood.
3.3 Tango
The Swegon CASA Tango cooker hood is
designed for installation inside an upper kitchen
cupboard by means of the fasteners included
in the supply. The greatest possible height of
the kitchen cabinet door which, without duct
insulation, can be mounted on the cooker hood
is 940 mm. Consider how the duct insulation, if
required, will affect the configuration when you
choose the kitchen cabinet door. If, for example,
you insulate a straight length of duct with
a30 mmthick layer of insulation, the height of
the kitchen cabinet door can be 870 mm at the
most. A higher cabinet door presupposes that
you utilize bends when installing the duct.
• Mark the cooker hood's centre line on the
wall and fasten the cooker hood's mount-
ing brackets as shown in the illustation
below. Note that if the depth of the upper
cabinet exceeds 300 mm, a board with
suitable thickness must be fitted between
the mounting brackets and the wall to
align the front edge of the cooker hood
with the front edge of the adjacent upper
cabinets.
