ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
This chapter will cover the fundamentals of the electrical layout and funcons of the machine.
SAFETY NOTE: Please use cauon when working on any part of the Synesso™ electrical system. Live cur-
rent poses the risk of electrical shock, harm, permanent injury or death. Take all appropriate precauons,
including turning o the machine, breaker, and/or unplugging the unit prior to working on the machine.
The major components of the electrical system can be broken down into the following funconal
categories:
1. Heang components (temperature probes, elements, thermal resets, and various parts of the CPU)
2. Water control (water inlet valves, brew valves, mix and hot water valves, water level probes and
various parts of the CPU, rocker and brew/pre-infusion switches, pump, and motor)
3. Operator feedback (visual display)
The locaons and descripons of the components above were covered in the chapter “Hydraulic System,”
with the excepon of the CPU and display, which will be covered in this chapter.
