7.7.2 Distance from the wall/ceiling
Ensure enough distance between the ceiling and the wall.
The duty point may not be reachable.
The fan may make noise.
If the minimal distances are not possible for construction reasons, install a deflector in front of the fan in a way that en-
sures a direct, smooth and constant flow of air. On the pressure side, provide a duct with a length of at least 2.5xD in or-
der to reach the duty point. Contact with rotating parts must be ruled out at all times either by ducts of a
corresponding length or by protective grids.

7.7.3 Installation of flexible connections
Important
Increasing noise emission
Do not install the flexible connections at an angle.
Note:
When fitting the flexible connections,
make sure that they are fitted according
to the installation length (Table 10
Flexible connections Installation length,
page 18), without compression or tensile
strain. They must not be used to
compensate any lack of precision in the
assembly.
