7.7.2 Distance from the wall/ceiling
♦ Ensure enough distance between the ceiling and the wall.
• The duty point may not be reachable.
• The fan may make noise.
If the minimal distances are not possible for construction reasons, install a deflector in front of the fan in a way that en-
sures a direct, smooth and constant flow of air. On the pressure side, provide a duct with a length of at least 2.5xD in or-
der to reach the duty point. Contact with rotating parts must be ruled out at all times – either by ducts of a
corresponding length or by protective grids.

7.7.3 Installation of flexible connections

♦ Do not install the flexible connections at an angle.
Note:
When fitting the flexible connections,
make sure that they are fitted according
to the installation length (Table 10
Flexible connections — Installation length,
page 18), without compression or tensile
strain. They must not be used to
compensate any lack of precision in the
assembly.
