4. VISCA Commands
4.1 VISCA/RS-232C Commands
This chapter outlines an RS-232C control protocol and command list for MP3010M-EV.
THIS CONTROL PROTOCOL AND COMMAND LIST IS PROVIDED BY TAMRON WITHOUT
WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. THIS CONTROL PROTOCOL AND COMMAND LIST SHOULD BE
USED WITH CAUTION.
4.2 Overview of VISCA
In VISCA, the device outputting commands, for example a computer, is called
controller. The device receiving the commands, a camera module is called
peripheral device. In VISCA, the camera module can be connected to a controller
using communication conforming to the RS-232C standard. The parameters of RS-232C
are as follows.
Communication speed: 9.6 kbps/19.2 kbps/38.4 kbps/115.2 kbps
Data bits : 8
Start bit : 1
Stop bit : 1
Non parity
Flow control using XON/XOFF and RTS/CTS, etc., is not supported.
