DHCP. Enables or disables IP address settings by DHCP (Dynamic Host
Configuration Protocol). Use the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button to select
between Disable and Enable. Press the ENTER button to implement the selection.
If you select Disable in this menu, you will need to manually set network values
for all of the network menu items.
Refer to the user documentation supplied with your server OS for detailed
information about DHCP server functions.
IP ADDRESS. Sets the IP address of the sync pulse generator. Press the ENTER
button to edit the address. Then use the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button to move
the underscore character ( _ ), and use the up (
S) or down (T) arrow button to
change the value. Press the ENTER button to enable the value. When no value is
set, the default value is used. If the DHCP menu item is set to Enable, the sync pulse
generator uses the IP address automatically obtained from the DHCP server.
SUBNET MASK. Sets the subnet address of the sync pulse generator. Press the
ENTER button to edit the address. Then use the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button
to move the underscore character ( _ ), and use the up (
S) or down (T) arrow
button to change the value. Press the ENTER button to enable the value. When no
value is set, the default value is used. If the DHCP menu item is set to Enable, the
sync pulse generator uses the subnet address automatically obtained from the
DHCP server.
BRDCAST ADDR. Sets the broadcast address of the sync pulse generator. Press the
ENTER button to edit the address. Then use the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button
to move the underscore character ( _ ), and use the up (
S) or down (T) arrow
button to change the value. Press the ENTER button to enable the value. If the
DHCP menu item is set to Enable, the sync pulse generator uses the broadcast
address automatically obtained from the DHCP server.
GATEWAY ADDR. Sets the gateway address of the sync pulse generator. Press the
ENTER button to edit the address. Then use the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button
to move the underscore character ( _ ), and use the up (
S) or down (T) arrow
button to change the value. Press the ENTER button to enable the value.
WEB INTERFACE. Enables or disables web browser access to remotely control the
sync pulse generator. Use the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button to select between
Disable and Enable. Press the ENTER button to confirm the selection. Refer to
Appendix B: Using the Remote Interface for detailed information on how to use a
web browser for controlling the instrument.
NOTE. Under some network environments, the sync pulse generator may not be
able to get the IP address automatically from a DHCP server. In this case, you need
to enter the appropriate address value in each submenu item.
