3-34 SPG600 & SPG300 Sync Pulse Generators User Manual
GPI Submenu
This menu allows you to enable or disable the alarm signal output, reset alarm
signal output, and display the alarm status. Use the up (
S) or down (T) arrow
button to scroll through the menu. Figure 3-21 shows the GPI submenu diagram.

ALARM STATUS. Displays the alarm status detected inside the instrument. The
possible alarm status messages:
No Alarm: No errors have been detected.
Genlock: Near Loss of Lock: The frequency of the genlock signal and the
internal reference signal shift considerably, and the sync pulse generator seems
to be near loss of lock. If this happens, check the frequency of the genlock
signal or internal reference signal of the sync pulse generator.
Genlock: Loss of Lock: The sync pulse generator can not lock to a genlock
signal.
Genlock: No Signal: The sync pulse generator does not detect a valid genlock
signal.
Select GPI in the System menu
Disable
Enable
: ALARM STATUS
No Alarm
: ALARM RESET
Press ENTER
: GPI ALARM OUTPUT
Disable
NOTE. In the alarm status display, the instrument alarm status shows the
last-displayed error message. To display the latest message, press the CANCEL
button and return to the ALARM STATUS menu.
