SNMP MODE. Enables or disables remote control access to the sync pulse generator
over a network. Use the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button to select Disable,
Enable, or Read Only. When Enabled is selected, you can change instrument
settings using SNMP management software. When Read Only is selected, you can
only view instrument settings using SNMP management software. Press the
ENTER button to confirm the selection.
SNMP TRAPS. Enables or disables sending SNMP traps from the sync pulse
generator to an NMS (Network Management Station)(s). Use the left (
W) or right
(
X) arrow button to select between Disable and Enable. When enabled, SNMP
traps are sent to the NMS(s) specified by the destination address. Press the ENTER
button to confirm the selection.
SNMP TRAP DEST-1 to 4. Sets the IP address of the NMS to which SNMP traps are
sent. Press the ENTER button to edit mode the address. Then use the left (
W) or
right (
X) arrow button to move the underscore character ( _ ), and use the up (S)
or down (
T) arrow button to change the value. Press the ENTER button to enable
the value.
SNMP SET COMMUNITY. Sets the string that SNMP commands must includes to
have read/write access. Press the ENTER button to enter the edit mode to type the
string. Then use the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button to move the underscore
character ( _ ), and use the up (
S) or down (T) arrow button to change the
character. After you enter the string press the ENTER button to enable the value.
The default SNMP set community string is “private”.
SNMP GET COMMUNITY. Sets the string that SNMP commands must include to
have read-only access. Press the ENTER button to enter the edit mode to type the
string. Then use the left (
W) or right (X) arrow button to move the underscore
character ( _ ), and use the up (
S) or down (T) arrow button to change the
character. After you enter the value press the ENTER button to enable the string.
The default SNMP get community string is “public”.
