8.2.2. Hardware-based solution for GNSS and LTE coexistence
When in the user application a stand-alone GNSS receiver is present, the LTE transmission
may desensitize the GNSS receiver in particular if the decoupling between LTE and GNSS
antennas is low. A SAW filter can be added on LTE side, to protect GNSS receiver from
LTE out-of-band emissions, as described in the schematic below.
When the GNSS receiver embedded in the ML865G1 module is used, there is no condition
for degradation, because LTE part and GNSS part are never active simultaneously,
therefore the filtering on the LTE side is not needed.
GNSS Antenna Requirements
GNSS active antenna must be used or integrated in the application.
