Requirements
When selecting a site for your NET-PATH, refer to the electrical and environmental
requirements, see "Environmental Requirements"‚ page 1-4. The NET-PATH is rated
for a wide range of operating temperatures and humidity. However, the best
performance and longest life occurs when the temperature is 72° F and relative
humidity is 50%. Do not place the NET-PATH in a cabinet where poor air circulation
could cause the temperature to rise. Excessively dry areas can cause static charge
buildup resulting in operating faults and the destruction of semiconductor devices.
Unpacking Before opening the shipping container, inspect it for damage. If the container looks
damaged, do not unpack it. Contact the carrier and report the damage. If the container
passes inspection, do the following:
1 Open the package and save all packaging materials.
2 Visually inspect the unit and inventory parts. If the unit appears damaged or if
parts are missing, contact the NET-PATH supplier.
3 Remove the modem cable.
4 Remove the cables (if supplied).
5 Remove the power cord.
6 Remove the NET-PATH.
