6 Modifying or Creating Own Script
This section details on how to create a custom script or modify any of the existing script to match the expected
configurations.
6.1 Adding a new script file
Click on the required profile (AFE4500EVM➜GUI) in which the script file needs to be added.
• Right click the profile under which the new script file should be added.
• Select the Add Script option. Short cut is CTRL+M.
• Rename the script file by double clicking the file to any required filename. Extension of the file should be .py.
6.2 Writing a script to configure the device and the capture data
6.2.1 Resetting all the previous settings
Which might include,
• Stopping the capture incase if the capture is running
• Resetting the AFE4500 by giving a reset pulse
• Clearing the Per Phase memory
• Updating the buffered Register values in the software to its default value by reading from the AFE4960P
• Remove all the previously added data for plotting.
• Auto scale all the plots.
• Set the selected tab in the GUI to capture tab.
