The numbered steps are as follows:
1) Application code registers to be notified of V/F setpoint changes. For
example, different EMIF settings may be needed for different setpoints,
so the application registers control code with the power manager
(PWRM) so that it can change EMIF settings when there is a change to
the setpoint.
2) A DSP/BIOS link driver using DMA for transfers to/from external memory
registers to be notified of V/F setpoint changes. For example, prior to a
setpoint change, the driver may need to temporarily stop DMA operations
to external memory.
3) Packaged target content similarly registers for notification on setpoint
changes.
