Caution The heat pump must be installed by authorized personnel and the in-
stallation must follow the applicable local rules and regulations as well
as these installation instructions.
Caution This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and un-
derstand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without supervision.
Caution If there is a water heat tank in the installation it must be placed in an
area with a floor drain.
Caution The hot water tank must be equipped with an approved safety valve.
(Athena Total EQ, Athena Total 300L & Athena Compact)
Caution Heating systems with closed expansion tanks must also be supplied
with approved pressure gauges and safety valves.
Caution Cold and hot water pipes and overflow pipes from safety valves must
be made of heat resistant and corrosion-resistant material, for exam-
ple copper.
Caution The safety valve overflow pipes must have an open connection to the
drain and a visible flow into this in a frost-free environment.
Caution Do not start the unit ( Athena Total EQ, Athena Total 300L & Athena
Compact) if there is a possibility of frozen water in the immersion
heater.
Caution When cooling, it is important to limit the lowest temperature on the
supply line, to prevent condensation. Applies only to Athena HC mod-
els. Athena HC is only available in certain markets.
