Caution The appliance shall be stored and installed so as to prevent mechani-
cal damage from occurring.

It is important that the entire system is vented for air after installation.

When the Thermia air/water heat pump system is used in series with
another heat source (e.g. gasboiler), ensure that the return water tem-
perature does not exceed 60°C.

Air venting valves must be installed where necessary.

Do not use means to accelerate the defrost operation or to clean, oth-
er than those recommended by Thermia
2.2 Refrigerant
2.2.1 Refrigerant
Warning Work on the refrigerant circuit must only be carried out by a certified
engineer!
Warning In case of refrigerant leakage, avoid getting in contact with the refrig-
erant because this could result in severe frostbite.
The refrigerant circuit is filled with a chlorine-free and environmentally approved refrigerant.
For Athena 14 & 18 H/HC*:
The refrigerant circuit is hermetically sealed and is subject to the EC regulation 517/201. According to EC regulation 517/2014, for heat
pumps containing 10 tonnes of CO2 equivalent or more, with hermetically sealed fluorinated greenhouse gases, an annual inspection of
leakage must be carried out by qualified personnel.
* Athena HC is only available in certain markets.
