Maintenance
W ARNING
Modifying the original machine, parts,
and/or accessories may alter the warranty ,
controllability , and safety of the machine.
Making unauthorized modications to the
original machine and/or not using genuine
T oro parts could lead to serious injury or
death.
Do not make unauthorized modications to
the machine, parts, and/or accessories.
Use only genuine T oro parts.
Maintenance Safety
Before you leave the operator s position, do the
following:
Park the machine on a level surface.
Move the function-control switch to the
N EUTRAL position.
Ensure that the cutting units are disengaged
and lower them to the ground.
Engage the parking brake.
Shut of f the machine and remove the key .
W ait for all movement to stop.
Allow machine components to cool before
performing maintenance.
Only allow a qualied repair person to service the
machine.
Disconnect the main-power connectors before
performing maintenance.
If possible, do not perform maintenance while the
machine is running. Keep away from moving parts.
Support the machine with jack stands whenever
you work under the machine.
Carefully release pressure from components with
stored energy .
Keep all parts of the machine in good working
condition and all hardware tightened.
Replace all worn or damaged decals.
T o ensure safe, optimal performance of the
machine, use only genuine T oro replacement
parts. Replacement parts made by other
manufacturers could be dangerous, and such use
could void the product warranty .

T orque the wheel nuts.
Change the traction-motor-gearbox uid.
Before each use or daily
Inspect the seat belt(s) for wear , cuts, and other damage. Replace the seat belt(s) if
any component does not operate properly .
Check the safety-interlock system.
Inspect and cleanup after mowing.
Check the tire pressure.
Check the reel-to-bedknife contact.
W ash the machine (do not use high-pressure water).
Every 50 hours
Check the battery cable connections.
Every 200 hours
T orque the wheel nuts.
Every 800 hours
Change the traction-motor-gearbox uid.
