1.Loosenthemountingnutsandpositioneach
headlightsothatitpointsstraightahead.
Tightenthemountingnutjustenoughtoholdthe
headlightinposition.
2.Placeaatpieceofsheetmetaloverthefaceof
theheadlight.
3.Mountamagneticprotractorontotheplate.
Whileholdingtheassemblyinplace,carefullytilt
theheadlightdownward3degrees,thentighten
thenut.
4.Repeattheprocedureontheotherheadlight.
StartingandStoppingthe
Engine
Important:Thefuelsystemwillautomatically
bleeditselfwhenanyofthefollowingsituations
occur:
•Initialstartupofanewmachine.
•Theenginehasceasedrunningduetolackoffuel.
•Maintenancehasbeenperformeduponthefuel
systemcomponents.
1.Ensurethattheparkingbrakeisset.Remove
yourfootfromthetractionpedalandensurethat
itisinneutral.
2.TurntheignitionkeytotheRunposition.
3.Whentheglowindicatordims,turntheignition
keytotheStartposition.Releasethekey
immediatelywhentheenginestartsandallowit
toreturntotheRunposition.Allowengineto
warmupatmidspeed(withoutload),thenmove
thethrottlecontroltothedesiredposition.
Important:Donotrunthestartermotor
morethan30secondsatatimeorpremature
starterfailuremayresult.Iftheenginefails
tostartafter30seconds,turnthekeyto
theOffposition,recheckthecontrolsand
procedures,wait30additionalseconds,and
repeatthestartingprocedure.
4.Tostoptheengine,movethePTOswitchtothe
Offposition,settheparkingbrake,returnthe
throttlesettingtolowidleandrotatetheignition
keytoOff.Removethekeyfromtheswitchto
preventaccidentalstarting.
Important:Allowenginetoidlefor5minutes
beforeshuttingitoffafterafullloadoperation.
Failuretodosomayleadtoturbo-chargertrouble.

Note:Cuttinggrassataratethatloadstheengine
promotesDPFregeneration.
1.Movethemachinetothejobsite.
2.Wheneverpossible,settheengine-speedswitch
tohighidle.
3.EngagethePTOswitch.
4.Graduallymovethetractionpedalforwardand
slowlydrivethemachineoverthemowingarea.
5.Oncethefrontofthecuttingunitsareoverthe
mowingarea,lowerthecuttingunits.
6.Cutgrasssothatthebladescancutand
dischargeclippingsatahighratewhile
producingagoodqualityofcut.
Note:Ifthecuttingrateistoohigh,thequality
ofcutmaydeteriorate.Reducetheground
speedofthemachineorreducethewidthofcut
toregainhighidleenginespeed.
7.Whenthecuttingunitsareoverthefaredgeof
themowingarea,liftthecuttingunits.
8.Performatear-shapedturntoquicklylineupfor
yournextpass.
