MowWhenGrassisDry
Moweitherinthelatemorningtoavoidthedew,which
causesgrassclumping,orinlateafternoontoavoid
thedamagethatcanbecausedbydirectsunlighton
thesensitive,freshlymowedgrass.
SelecttheProperHeight-of-Cut
SettingtoSuitConditions
Removeapproximately25mm(1inch)orno
morethan1/3ofthegrassbladewhencutting.In
exceptionallylushanddensegrass,youmayhaveto
raisetheheight-of-cuttothenextsetting.
MowatProperIntervals
Undermostnormalconditionsyouwillneedtomow
approximatelyevery4-5days.Butremember,grass
growsatdifferentratesatdifferenttimes.Thismeans
thatinordertomaintainthesameheight-of-cut,
whichisagoodpractice,youwillneedtocutmore
frequentlyinearlyspring;asthegrassgrowthrate
slowsinmidsummer,cutonlyevery8-10days.If
youareunabletomowforanextendedperioddueto
weatherconditionsorotherreasons,mowrstwith
theheight-of-cutatahighlevel;thenmowagain2-3
dayslaterwithalowerheightsetting.
Transporting
Usethetransportlatcheswhentransportingoverlong
distances,roughterrain,orwhentrailering.
AfterOperating
Toensureoptimumperformance,cleantheunderside
ofthemowerhousingaftereachuse.Ifresidueis
allowedtobuildupinthemowerhousing,cutting
performancewilldecrease.
Also,removeanydebriswhichmayhavecollected
betweenthedeckliftcylindersandthefoamdeck
pads(Figure58).
