pushedortowed.

2.Rotateeachvalve3turnscounter-clockwise
toopenandallowoiltobypassinternally.Do
notopenmorethan3turns.Becauseuidis
bypassed,themachinecanbeslowlymoved
withoutdamagingthetransmission.
3.Closethebypassvalvesbeforestartingthe
engine.Torqueto70N-m(52ft-lb)toclosethe

hydrostatictransmissionanditscharacteristicsare
differentthanmanyturfmaintenancemachines.Some
pointstoconsiderwhenoperatingthetractionunit,
cuttingunit,orotherimplementsarethetransmission,
enginespeed,loadonthecuttingbladesorother
implementcomponents,andtheimportanceofthe
brakes.
WithToroSmartPower™,theoperatordoesnothave
tolistentotheenginespeedinheavyconditions.
SmartPowerpreventsboggingdowninheavyturf
byautomaticallycontrollingthemachinespeedand
optimizingcuttingperformance.
Thebrakescanbeusedtoassistinturningthe
machine.However,usethemcarefully,especially
onsoftorwetgrassbecausetheturfmaybetorn
accidentally.Anotherbenetofthebrakesisto
maintaintraction.Forexample,insomeslope
conditions,theuphillwheelslipsandlosestraction.
Ifthissituationoccurs,depresstheuphillturnpedal
graduallyandintermittentlyuntiltheuphillwheelstops
slipping,thus,increasingtractiononthedownhill
wheel.
