6.Servicethebatteryandcablesasfollows:
A.Removethebatteryterminalsfromthe
batteryposts.
B.Cleanthebattery,terminals,andpostswith
awirebrushandbakingsodasolution.
C.Coatthecableterminalsandbatteryposts
withGrafo112Xskin-overgrease(T oroPart
No.505-47)orpetroleumjellytoprevent
corrosion.
D.Slowlyrechargethebatteryevery60days
for24hourstopreventleadsulfationofthe
battery.
7.Engagethetransportlatches(Groundsmaster
4700-Dmachinesonly).
Engine
1.Draintheengineoilfromtheoilpanandinstall
thedrainplug.
2.Removeanddiscardtheoillter.Installanew
oillter.
3.Filltheoilpanwithmotoroil.
4.Starttheengineandrunitatidlespeedfor
approximately2minutes.
5.Shutofftheengine.
6.Flushthefueltankwithfresh,cleandieselfuel.
7.Secureallfuelsystemttings.
8.Thoroughlycleanandservicetheair-cleaner
assembly.
9.Sealtheair-cleanerinletandtheexhaustoutlet
withweatherprooftape.
10.Checktheanti-freezeprotectionandadda
50/50solutionofwaterandethyleneglycol
anti-freezeasneededfortheexpectedminimum
temperatureinyourarea.

Ifthemowerdecksareseparatedfromthetraction
unitforanylengthoftime,installaspindlepluginthe
topofthespindlestoprotectthespindlesfromdust
andwater.
