Theboomliftswitchesonthesprayercontrolpanel
allowsyoutomovetheboomsbetweentransport
positionandspraypositionwithoutleavingthe
Operator’sseat.Itisrecommendedtochangeboom
positionswhilethemachineisstationary.
Tochangetheboomposition:
1.Stopthesprayeronlevelground.
2.Usetheboomliftswitchestolowerbooms.Wait
untiltheboomsreachthefull,extendedspray
position.
3.Whentheboomsneedtoberetracted,stopthe
sprayeronlevelground.
4.Usetheboomliftswitchestoraisethebooms.Raise
theboomsuntiltheyhavemovedcompletelyinto
boomtransportcradleformingthe“X”transport
positionandtheboomcylindersarefullyretracted.
Important:Topreventdamagetotheboom
actuatorcylinder,makesuretheactuatorsare
fullyretractedbeforetransport.
TheBoomTransportCradle
Thesprayerisequippedwithaboomtransportcradle
thathasauniquesafetyfeature.Intheeventof
accidentalboomcontactwithalowoverheadobject
whileinthetransportposition,theboom(s)canbe
pushedoutofthetransportcradles.Ifthisoccurs,the
boomswillcometorestinanearhorizontalposition
totherearofthevehicle.Whiletheboomswillnot
bedamagedduetothismovement,theyshouldbe
immediatelyputbackintothetransportcradle.
Important:Theboomscanbedamagedby
transportingtheminanypositionotherthanthe
“X”transportpositionusingtheboomtransport
cradle.
Toputtheboomsbackintothetransportcradle,
lowertheboom(s)tothesprayposition,andthenraise
theboom(s)backintothetransportposition.Make
suretheboomcylindersarefullyretractedtoprevent
actuatorroddamage.
Spraying
Important:Inordertoensurethatyoursolution
remainswellmixed,usetheagitationfeature
wheneveryouhavesolutioninthetank.For
agitationtowork,thepumpmustbeonandthe
enginemustberunningaboveanidle.Ifyoustop
thevehicleandneedagitationon,placetherange
selectorintheNeutralposition,settheparking
brake,presstheacceleratorpedaltotheoor,turn
onthepump,andturntheneutralenginespeed
lockOn.
Note:Thisprocedureassumesthatthepumpison
fromtheFillingtheSprayTankprocedure.
1.Lowertheboomsintoposition.
2.SetthemasterboomswitchtotheOffposition.
TheSprayPromonitorwilldisplay“HOLD”.
3.Settheindividualboomswitches,asneeded,tothe
Onpositions.
4.Drivetothelocationwhereyouwillbespraying.
5.TurntheSprayProselectiondialtotheApplication
Ratepositionandusetheapplicationrateswitchto
achievethedesiredrate.Todothis:
A.EnsurethepumpisOn.
B.Withthebrakepressed,selectthedesiredgear
rangethenbegindrivingatmaximumspeed.
C.Verifythemonitordisplaysthecorrect
applicationrate.Ifneeded,manipulatethe
applicationrateswitchuntilthemonitordisplays
thedesiredapplicationrate.
D.Returntothelocationwheresprayingisto
begin.
6.SetthemasterboomswitchtotheOnpositionto
beginspraying.
Note:Whenthetankisnearlyempty,theagitation
maycausefoaminginthetank.Inthiscase,
turntheagitationcontrolvalvetothe3o’clock
positiontoturnitoff.Alternatively,youcanusean
anti-foamingagentinthetank(ifcompatiblewith
thechemicalyouareusing).
7.Whennishedspraying,setthemasterboomswitch
totheOffpositiontoturnoffallbooms,thenset
thepumpswitchtotheOffposition.
SprayingTips
•Donotoverlapareasthatyouhavepreviously
sprayed.
•Watchforpluggednozzles.Replaceallwornor
damagednozzles.
•Usethemasterboomswitchtostopthesprayow
beforestoppingthesprayer.Oncestopped,place
therangeselectorinneutralandusetheneutral
enginespeedlocktoholdtheenginespeedupto
keeptheagitationrunning.
•Youwillobtainbetterresultsifthesprayeris
movingwhenyouturntheboomson.
•Watchforchangesintheapplicationratethatmay
indicatethatyourspeedhaschangedbeyondthe
