1.Positionthesprayeronalevelsurface,settheparking
brake,stopthepump,stoptheengine,andremove
theignitionkey.
2.Cleantheareaaroundtheltermountingarea.
3.Placeadrainpanunderthelter.
4.Removethelter(Figure67).

6.Ensurethattheltermountingareaisclean.
7.Screwthelteronuntilthegasketcontactsthe
mountingplate,thentightenthelterone-halfturn.
8.Starttheengineandletitrunforabouttwominutes
topurgeairfromthesystem.Stoptheengineand
checkthehydraulicoillevelandforleaks.

Carefullyreadandfollowthechemical
warninglabelsandMaterialSafetyData
Sheets(MSDS)forallchemicalsused
andprotectyourselfaccordingtothe
chemicalmanufacturer’srecommendations.
Forexample,useappropriatePersonal
ProtectiveEquipment(PPE)including
faceandeyeprotection,gloves,orother
equipmenttoguardagainstpersonalcontact
withthechemical.
Keepinmindthattheremaybemorethan
onechemicalusedandinformationoneach
shouldbeassessed.

Beforeworkingonaspraysystem
makesurethesystemhasbeentriple
rinsedandneutralizedaccordingto
therecommendationsofthechemical
manufacturer(s).
Verifythereisanadequatesupplyofclean
waterandsoapnearby,andimmediately
washoffanychemicalsthatcontactyou.
InspectingtheHoses
ServiceInterval:Every200hours—Inspectallhoses
andconnectionsfordamageand
properattachment.
Examineeachhoseinthespraysystemforcracks,
leaksorotherdamage.Atthesametime,inspectthe
connectionsandttingsforsimilardamage.Replaceany
hosesandttingsifdamaged.
