14.WiththeselectiondialsettotheDistanceposition,
pressandholdtheCalibratebuttonuntilthe
monitordisplays“CALHOLD”andtheredlight
onthemonitorilluminates.
Thedisplaywillalternatebetweenthedistancevalue
(“HOLD”shown)andthespeedcalibrationvalue
(“CALHOLD”shown).
15.Whenthedistancevalueisdisplayed,usethe
IncreaseorDecreasecalibrationbuttonstochange
itto500feet(150m).
16.Whenthedisplaybeginsalternatingagain,the
speedcalibrationvaluewillhavechanged;writethis
numberdownandsaveit.Thisisthecalibration
valueforyoursprayer.
17.PresstheCalibratebuttonuntiltheredlightturns
off.Youcanalsoexitcalibrationmodebydriving
thesprayer.
ResettinganOFLCondition
Ifthemonitorreads“OFL”,itindicatesthatyouhave
exceededthemonitorscreendimensions.Pressand
holdtheResetcalibrationbuttontosetthedisplayto0.
CalibratingtheBoomBypass
Valves
Beforeusingthesprayerforthersttimeorifthe
nozzlesarechanged,adjusttheboombypassvalvesso
thatthepressureandapplicationrateremainsthesame
forallboomswhenyouturnoneormoreboomsoff.
Note:Theboombypassvalvesmustbecalibrated
eachtimethenozzlesarechanged.
Selectanopenatareatoperformthisprocedure.
1.Fillthespraytankwithcleanwater.
2.Puttheextensionboomsdown,ifinstalled.
3.Settheparkingbrakeandstarttheengine.
4.SetthedialontheSprayPromonitortoApplication
Rate.
5.PlacetherangeselectorintheNeutralposition.
6.Presstheacceleratortotheoorandsettheneutral
enginespeedlockswitchtotheOnposition.
7.SetthepumpswitchtotheOnpositiontostart
thepump.
8.Setallthreeboomswitchesandthemasterboom
switchtotheOnposition.
9.Usetheapplicationrateswitchtoadjustthepressure
asreadonthepressuregaugeuntilitisintherange
forthenozzlesyouinstalledonthebooms(typically
40psi/2.75bar).
10.Recordthereadingonthepressuregauge.
11.Turnoffoneoftheboomsusingtheappropriate
boomswitch.
12.Adjusttheboombypassvalve(Figure29)underthe
boomcontrolvalvefortheboomyouturnedoff
untilthepressurereadingonthegaugeisthesame
asitwasinstep9.
