CalibratingtheFlowmeter
Note:Performthiscalibrationprocedureeachtime
nozzlesarechangedtoensurethegreatestaccuracy.
TheSprayPromonitorcomesapproximatelycalibrated
fortheowmeter.Completethefollowingprocedure
tonetunetheowmetercalibration:
1.Settheparkingbrake.
2.Fillthesprayertankwithaknownquantityofwater,
atleast100USgallons(380L).
Note:Donotrelyonthemarksonthesideofthe
tankformeasuringthewaterforthisprocedure.
Theyareapproximatemeasurements,butnot
accurateenoughforthiscalibration.
3.SetthepumpswitchtotheOnpositiontostart
thepump.
4.Setallthreeboomswitchesandthemasterboom
switchtotheOnposition.Runtheboomsonly
untiltheairispurgedfromtheline,thenturnthem
offusingthemasterboomswitch.
5.TurntheselectiondialtotheTotalVolumeposition.
6.PressandholdtheResetcalibrationbuttonuntil
thedisplayreads“0”.
7.SetthemasterboomswitchtotheOnpositionand
runtheboomsuntilallthewaterisoutofthetank,
thenstopthemusingthemasterboomswitch.
8.Comparethevolumedisplayedonthemonitorto
thevolumeofwateryouputintothetank.
•Ifthevolumesarethesame,youdonotneedto
calibratethemonitoranyfurther.
•Ifthevaluesaredifferent,continuewiththerest
ofthisprocedure.
9.WiththeselectiondialsettotheTotalVolume
position,pressandholdtheCalibratebuttonuntil
themonitordisplays“CALHOLD”andthered
lightonthemonitorilluminates.
Thedisplaywillalternatebetweenthetotalvolume
reading(“HOLD”shown)andtheowcalibration
value(“CALHOLD”shown).
10.Whenthetotalvolumevalueisdisplayed,usethe
IncreaseorDecreasecalibrationbuttonstochange
ittotheamountofwateryouputinthetank.
11.Whenthedisplaybeginsalternatingagain,the
owcalibrationvaluewillhavechanged;writethis
numberdownandsaveit.Thisisthecalibration
valueforyoursprayer.
12.PresstheCalibratebuttonuntiltheredlightturns
off.Youcanalsoexitcalibrationmodebydriving
thesprayer.
CalibratingtheSpeedSensor
TheSprayProcomesapproximatelycalibratedforthe
speedsensor.Completethefollowingproceduretone
tunethespeedsensorcalibration:
1.Checkandllalltires;refertoCheckingTire
PressureintheDriveSystemMaintenancesection.
2.Fillthefreshwatertank.
3.Fillthesprayertankhalf-fullofwater.
4.Selectastraight,attrackofgroundthatissimilar
toyourturfconditions.
Note:Usingaroadorotherpavedsurfacecould
causeaninaccuratereadingwhenyoulaterdrive
thesprayeronturf.
5.Measure500feet(150m),markingboththestart
andendpoints.
6.Positionthesprayeratthestartingpoint.
7.Setthepumpandthemasterboomswitchesto
theOffposition.Themonitorshoulddisplay
“HOLD”.
8.TurntheselectiondialtotheDistanceposition.
9.PressandholdtheResetcalibrationbuttonuntil
thedisplayreads“0”.
10.Pressthemasterboomswitchtostartthedistance
trackingwiththemonitor.Drivethemachinefrom
thestartpointyoumarkedtothe500feet(150m)
endpoint.
11.Stopattheendpoint,setthemasterboomswitch
totheOffpositiontostopthemonitor.
12.Lookatthedistancedisplayedonthemonitor.
•Ifitreads“500feet(150m)”,youdonotneed
tocalibratethemonitoranyfurther.
•Ifitdoesnotread“500feet(150m)”,continue
withtherestofthisprocedure.
13.Settheparkingbrake.
