Installing the Battery
Install the battery as shown in Figure 52 .

Servicing the Fuses
The electrical system is protected by fuses. It
requires no maintenance. If a fuse blows, check the
component or circuit for a malfunction or short.
1. Park the machine on a level surface, disengage
the PT O, and engage the parking brake.
2. Shut of f the engine, remove the key , and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
3. Release the operator cushion from the rear of
the machine.
4. If you need to access the charge fuse, remove
the fuel tank; refer to Removing the Fuel T ank
( page 36 ) .
5. Pull out the fuse and replace it ( Figure 53 ).
