9.Repeattheprocedureforallcuttingunitsyouwantto
backlap.
10.Whennished,returnthebacklaplevertotheF
position,movethecuttingunitreelspeedcontrolto
thedesiredmowingposition,lowertheseat,andwash
alllappingcompoundoffofthecuttingunits.Adjust
cuttingunitreeltobedknifeasneeded.
Important:Ifyoudonotreturnthebacklaplever
totheFpositionafterbacklapping,thecutting
unitswillnotraiseorfunctionproperly.
Storage
Ifyouwishtostorethemachineforalongperiodoftime,the
followingstepsshouldbeperformedpriortostorage:
1.Removeaccumulationsofdirtandoldgrassclippings.
Sharpenthereelsandbedknives,ifnecessary;referto
theCuttingUnitOperator'sManual.Usearustpreventive
onbedknivesandreelblades.Greaseandoilall
lubricationpoints;refertoGreasingtheMachine(page
33).
2.Blockupthewheelstoremoveanyweightonthetires.
3.Drainandreplacethehydraulicuidandlterand
inspectthehydrauliclinesandttings.Replace,if
necessary;refertoChangingtheHydraulicFluidand
Filter(page42)andCheckingtheHydraulicLinesand
Hoses(page43).
4.Drainthefueltank.Runtheengineuntilitstopsfrom
lackoffuel.Replacethefuellter;refertoReplacing
theFuelFilter(page38).
5.Whiletheengineisstillwarm,draintheoilfromthe
crankcase.Rellitwithfreshoil;refertoCheckingthe
EngineOil(page21).
6.Removethesparkplugs,pouroneounceofSAE30oil
intothecylinders,andcrankslowlytodistributetheoil.
Replacethesparkplugs;refertoReplacingtheSpark
Plugs(page37).
7.Cleandirtandchafffromthecylinder,cylinderhead
ns,andblowerhousing.
8.Removethebatteryandchargeitfully.Eitherstore
itontheshelforonthemachine.Leavethecables
disconnectedifitisstoredonthemachine.Store
thebatteryinacoolatmospheretoavoidquick
deteriorationofthechargeinthebattery.
9.Ifpossible,storethemachineinawarm,drylocation.
