Note:Theengineshutsoffwhenyouleavetheseatwithout
engagingtheparkingbrake.
EngineStartLockout:Theenginestartsonlywhenthe
forward/reversetravelpedalisintheNEUTRALposition,the
cuttingunitswitchisintheOFFposition,andtheparking
brakeisengaged.Whenthesecircumstancesaresatised,
theenginestarts.
EngineRunInterlock:Whiletheengineisrunning,you
muststayseatedbeforereleasingtheparkingbrake.
CuttingUnitDriveLockout:Thecuttingunitsonlyengage
whenyouareseated.Thecuttingunitsdisengagewhenyou
risefromtheseatformorethan1second.Toengagecutting
unit,youmustreturntotheseatandmovethecuttingunit
driveswitchtotheOFFpositionbeforemovingitbackto
theONposition.
Note:Ifyourisefromtheseatforabriefmomentduring
normalwork,thecuttingunitisnotaffected.
Youcanstarttheengineonlywiththecutting-unitswitchin
theOFFposition.
WARNING
Donotoperatethemoweriftheoperator-presence
controlsarenotfunctioning.

checkthattheyfunctioncorrectlybeforeoperating

UsingthePlatform-Latching
Mechanism
Donotoperatethemowerwithoutrstcheckingthatthe
platform-latchingmechanismisfullyengagedandingood
workingorder.
ReleasingthePlatform
1.Movethelockinghandletowardthefrontofthemower
untilthelatchhooksclearthelockingbar.
2.Raisetheplatform.Thegasspringwillprovide
assistance.
SecuringthePlatform
1.Lowertheplatformcarefully.Thegasspringprovides
assistance.
2.Movethelockinghandletowardsthefrontofthe
mowerastheplatformnearsthefullyloweredposition.
Note:Thisensuresthatthelatchhooksclearthe
lockingbar.
3.Lowertheplatformandmovethelockinghandle
towardstherearofthemoweruntilthelatchhooks
engagethelockingbar.
