7.Cleanthedirtejectionportlocatedintheremovable
cover.Removetherubberoutletvalvefromthecover,
cleanthecavity,andreplacetheoutletvalve.
8.Installthecoverorientingtherubberoutletvalveina
downwardposition—betweenapproximately5o’clock
to7o’clockwhenviewedfromtheend.
9.Checktheconditionoftheaircleanerhoses.
10.Securethecover.
ServicingtheSafetyFilter
Theairlterhasasecondarysafety-lterelementinsidethe
primaryairltertopreventdislodgeddustandotheritems
fromenteringtheenginewhilechangingthemainelement.
Important:Replacethesafetylter;nevercleanit.
Ifthesafetylterisdirty,thentheprimarylteris
damaged.Replacebothlters.

1.Removethedrainplug(Figure35)andlettheoilow
intoadrainpan.
