Youmustbleedthefuelsystembeforestartingtheengineif
anyofthefollowingsituationshaveoccurred:
•Initialstartupofanewmachine.
•Enginehasceasedrunningduetolackoffuel.
•Maintenancehasbeenperformeduponfuelsystem
components;i.e.,lterisreplaced,separatorisserviced,
etc.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandensurethatthe
fueltankisatleasthalffull.
2.Openthehood.
3.TurnthekeyintheignitionswitchtotheONposition
andcranktheengine.
Note:Themechanicalpumpsucksfueloutofthe
tank,llsthefuellterandfuelhose,andforcesthe
airintotheengine.Fullypurgealltheairoutofthe
system;theenginemightreerraticallyuntilallairis
purgedout.Whenalltheairispurgedandtheengine
isrunningsmoothly,runtheengineforafewminutes
toensurethattheairisfullypurged.
DrainingtheFuelTank
ServiceInterval:Every800hours
Beforestorage
Drainandcleanthefueltankifthefuelsystembecomes
contaminatedorifthemachineistobestoredforanextended
period.Usecleanfueltoushoutthetank.
CheckingtheFuelLinesand
Connections
ServiceInterval:Every400hours/Yearly(whichevercomes
rst)
Checkthefuellinesandconnections.Inspectthemfor
deterioration,damage,orlooseconnections.
ElectricalSystem
Maintenance
Important:Beforeweldingonthemachine,disconnect
bothcablesfromthebatteryandtheterminalconnector
fromthealternatortopreventdamagetotheelectrical
system.
ElectricalSystemSafety
•Disconnectthebatterybeforerepairingthemachine.
Disconnectthenegativeterminalrstandthepositive
last.Connectthepositiveterminalrstandthenegative
last.
•Chargethebatteryinanopen,well-ventilatedarea,away
fromsparksandames.Unplugthechargerbefore
connectingordisconnectingthebattery.Wearprotective
clothinganduseinsulatedtools.

Inspectallelectricalconnectionsandcablesandreplaceany
whicharedamagedorcorroded.Sprayagood-qualitywater
inhibitorontoexposedconnectionstokeepmoistureout.
