Procedures
Important:Regularmaintenanceisessentialforthe
continuedsafeoperationofthemachine.Correct
servicingwillprolongtheworkinglifeofthemachine
andsafeguardthewarranty.AlwaysusegenuineToro
servicepartsastheseareaccuratelymatchedtothe
requiredduty.
Dirtandcontaminationaretheenemiesofanyhydraulic
system.Whenperformingmaintenanceproceduresonthe
hydraulicsystem,alwaysensurethattheworkareaandthe
componentsarethoroughlycleanbefore,during,andafter
procedure.Ensurethatallopenhydrauliclinesandports,etc.,
arepluggedduringmaintenanceprocedures.
Therecommendedserviceintervalsarebasedonnormal
operatingconditions.Severeorunusualconditionswill
necessitateshorterserviceintervals.
Alwaysgreasethepivotpointsimmediatelyafterpressure
washingorsteamcleaning.
Pre-MaintenanceSafety
•Beforeadjusting,cleaning,repairing,orleavingthe
machine,dothefollowing:
–Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
–Movethethrottleswitchtothelow-idleposition.
–Disengagethecuttingunits.
–Lowerthecuttingunits.
–Ensurethatthetractionisinneutral.
–Engagetheparkingbrake.
–Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
–Waitforallmovingpartstostop.
–Allowmachinecomponentstocoolbefore
performingmaintenance.
•Ifthecuttingunitsareinthetransportposition,usethe
positivemechanicallock(ifavailable)beforeyouleavethe
machineunattended.
•Ifpossible,donotperformmaintenancewhiletheengine
isrunning.Keepawayfrommovingparts.
•Usejackstandstosupportthemachineorcomponents
whenrequired.
•Carefullyreleasepressurefromcomponentswithstored
energy.
JackingPoints
Note:Usejackstandstosupportthemachinewhenrequired

•Front—undertherearliftcylindermount.
•Rear—axletubeontherearaxle.
RaisingtheMoweroffthe
Ground
WARNING
Araisedmowerdeckthatisnotproperlysupported
canfall,crushingyouorbystanderswhoare
underneathit.
Whenthemowerisraisedofftheground:
•Nevercrawlunderthemower.
•Neverstarttheengine.
Important:Beforeraisingthemowerensurethat
theliftingdevicetobeusedisingoodconditionand
capableofsupportingtheweightofthemowersecurely.
Minimumliftcapacity:2Tonnes(4,409lb).
1.Parkthemoweronlevelground.
2.Engagetheparkingbrake.
3.TurntheengineswitchtotheOFFpositionandremove
theignitionkey.
4.Ensurethegroundundertheliftingdeviceisleveland
rm.
5.Alignandensuretheliftingdeviceissecureagainst1of
themowersliftingpoints.
6.Ifraisingthefrontofthemower,chocktherearwheels
topreventthemowerrollingaway.

wheels.
