continuingoperation.Seriousdamagecouldoccurifyou
operatethemachinewithamalfunction.
Mowing
Thespeedofthecuttingunitbladesshouldalwaysbekept
ashighaspossibleinordertomaintainthehighestqualityof
cut.Thisinturnrequiresthattheenginespeedbekeptas
highaspossible.
Cuttingperformanceisbestwhencuttingagainstthelieof
thegrass.Youshouldattempttoalternatethedirectionof
mowingbetweencuts.
QualityofCut
Thequalityofcutdeterioratesiftheforwardspeedis
excessive.Alwaysbalancethequalityofcutwiththeworkrate
requiredandsettheforwardspeedaccordingly.
Engine
Neverlettheenginelabor.Reducetheforwardspeedor
increasetheheightofcut.
Transporting
Alwaysdisengagethecuttingunitdrivewhentravellingacross
un-grassedareas.Becarefulwhendrivingbetweenobjectsso
thatyoudonotaccidentallydamagethemachineorcutting
units.
Important:Takecarewhentravelingoverobstacles,
suchasroadsidecurbs.Alwaystravelataslowspeed
overobstaclestopreventdamagetothetires,wheels,
andsteeringsystem.Ensurethattiresareinatedtothe
recommendedpressures.
Slopes
Useextracarewhenoperatingthemachineonslopes.Drive
slowlyandavoidsharpturnsonslopestopreventrollovers.
Lowerthecuttingunitwhengoingdownhillforsteering
control.
AfterOperation
AfterOperationSafety
•Cleangrassanddebrisfromthecuttingunits,mufers,
andenginecompartmenttohelppreventres.Cleanup
oilorfuelspills.
•Ifthecuttingunitsareinthetransportposition,usethe
positivemechanicallock(ifavailable)beforeyouleavethe
machineunattended.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringthemachinein
anyenclosure.
•Shutoffthefuelbeforestoringortransportingthe
machine.
•Neverstorethemachineorfuelcontainerwherethereis
anopename,spark,orpilotlight,suchasonawater
heateroronotherappliances.
•Keepallpartsofthemachineingoodworkingcondition
andallhardwaretightened,especiallyblade-attachment
hardware.
•Replaceallwornordamageddecals.
