•ReplaceadamagedROPS.Donotrepairoralterit.
MachineswithaFoldableRollBar
•Alwaysusetheseatbeltwiththerollbarintheraised
position.
•TheROPSisanintegralsafetydevice.Keepafoldingroll
barintheraisedandlockedposition,andusetheseat
beltwhenoperatingthemachinewiththerollbarinthe
raisedposition.
•Lowerafoldingrollbartemporarilyonlywhennecessary.
Donotweartheseatbeltwhentherollbarisfolded
down.
•Beawarethatthereisnorolloverprotectionwhena
foldedrollbarisinthedownposition.
•Checktheareathatyouwillbemowingandneverfold
downafoldingrollbarinareaswherethereareslopes,

SlopeSafety
•Slowdownthemachineanduseextracareonhillsides.
Travelupanddownonhillsides.Turfconditionscan
affectthestabilityofthemachine.
•Avoidturningthemachineonslopes.Ifyoumustturnthe
machine,turnitslowlyandgraduallydownhill,ifpossible.
•Donotturnthemachinesharply.Usecarewhenreversing
themachine.
•Useextracarewhileoperatingthemachinewith
attachments;theycanaffectthestabilityofthemachine.

startingtheengineifyouarestartingtheengineforthe
rsttime,theenginehasshutoffduetolackoffuel,or
youhaveperformedmaintenanceonthefuelsystem;

StartingaColdEngine
1.Sitintheseat,keepyourfootoffthetractionpedalsto
ensuretheyareintheNEUTRALposition,engagethe
parkingbrake,andsetthethrottletothe70percent
fullthrottleposition.
2.TurntheignitionkeytotheONposition(I)andcheck
thattheengineoilpressureandbattery-charge-warning
lightsilluminate.
3.TurntheignitionkeytothePREHEATposition(II)and
ensurethepre-heatindicatorlightison.Holditfor5
secondstoheattheglowplugs.
4.Afterpreheatingtheglowplugs,turnkeytotheSTART
position(III)andholdittostarttheengine.
Note:Cranktheenginefornolongerthan15seconds.
5.ReleasetheignitionkeybacktotheONposition(I)
whentheenginestarts.
6.Runtheengineatlowidlespeeduntilitwarmsup.
