1.Sitintheseat,keepyourfootoffofthetractionpedals
toensuretheyareintheNEUTRALposition,engage
theparkingbrake,andsetthethrottletothe70%full
throttleposition.
2.TurntheignitionkeytotheONposition(I)andcheck
thattheengineoilpressureandbattery-charge-warning
lightsilluminate.
3.TurntheignitionkeytotheSTARTposition(III)and
holdittostarttheengine.
Note:Cranktheenginefornolongerthan15seconds.
4.ReleasetheignitionkeybacktotheONposition(I)
whentheenginestarts.
5.Runtheengineatlowidlespeeduntilitwarmsup.
ShuttingOfftheEngine
1.MoveallcontrolstotheNEUTRALposition,engage
theparkingbrake,movethethrottletothelow-idle
position,andallowtheenginetoreachlow-idlespeed.
Important:Allowtheenginetoidlefor5
minutesbeforeshuttingitoffafterafull-load
operation.Failuretodosomayleadtotroubleon
aturbo-chargedengine.
2.Lettheengineidlefor5minutes.
3.TurntheignitionkeytotheOFFposition(0).
Iftheenginefailstoshutoffwhentheignitionkeyis
turnedtotheOFFposition(0),movetheengine-stop
leverforward(Figure28).

Position
Usethelift-controlswitchtoraiseorlowerthecuttingunit.
1.Tolowerthecuttingunit,operatetheliftcontrolswitch
inadownwarddirectionandrelease.
ThecuttingunitisnowintheFloatmodeandwill
followthegroundcontours.
2.Toraisethecuttingunit,pressthelift-controlswitch
intheupwarddirectionandholdit.
3.Releasethelift-controlswitchwhenthecuttingunit
isattherequiredheight.
Thecontrolswitchautomaticallyreturnstothe
NEUTRALpositionandthearmsarehydraulically
lockedintoposition.
