Maintain the air pressure in the front and rear
tires . T he cor rect air pressure is 15 psi (103 kP a)
in the rear tires and 25 psi (172 kP a) in the caster
wheels . Unev en tire pressure can cause unev en
cut. Chec k the tires when they are cold to g et the
most accurate pressure reading .

Replacing the Castor Wheels
and Bearings
1. Obtain a new caster wheel assembly , cone
bearings , and bearing seals for y our A uthorized
T oro Distributor .
2. R emo v e the loc kn ut from the bolt holding the
castor wheel assembly betw een the castor fork
( Figure 52 ).

3. Grasp the castor wheel and slide the bolt out
of the fork or pi v ot ar m.
4. Discard the old caster wheel and bearings .
5. Assemble the castor wheel b y pushing the cone
bearings and seals , pac k ed with g rease , into the
wheel hub , positioned as sho wn in Figure 52 .
6. Slide the spacer into the wheel hub through
the bearings , capti v ating the spacer inside the
wheel hub with 2 bearing spacers .
Important: Ensur e that the seal lips ar e
not f olded in.
7. Install the castor wheel assembly betw een the
castor fork and secure it in place with the bolt
and loc kn ut.
8. Tighten the n ut until the wheel no long er spins
freely , then bac k it off just until the wheel spins
freely .
9. Attac h a g rease gun to the g rease fitting on
the caster wheel and fill it with No . 2 General
Pur pose Lithium Base Grease .

touching hot radiator and sur r ounding par ts

• Do not r emo v e the radiator cap when
the engine is hot. Al w ays allo w the
engine to cool at least 15 min utes or
until the radiator cap is cool enough to
touch without bur ning y our hand bef or e
r emo ving the radiator cap .
• Do not touch radiator and sur r ounding
par ts that ar e hot.
