abilitytovarygroundspeedofthevehicle.Pressing
thepedalstartstheengine.Pressingthepedalfarther
increasesgroundspeed.Releasingthepedalwillslow
thevehicleandtheenginewillstoprunning.Maximum
forwardspeedis16mph(26km/h).

Ifbrakepedaltravelstowithin1inch(25mm)
ofthevehicleoorboard,thebrakesmustbe
adjustedorrepaired.
ParkingBrake
Theparkingbrakeisbetweentheseats(Figure15).
Whenevertheengineisshutoff,theparkingbrake
mustbeengagedtopreventaccidentalmovementof
thevehicle.Toengagetheparkingbrake,pullbackon
thelever.Todisengage,pushtheleverforward.Ifthe
vehicleisparkedonasteepgrade,makesurethatthe
parkingbrakeisapplied.Placeblocksatthedownhill
sideofthewheels.
