Drivingtimetypicallylessthan5minutes
Frequentoperationindustyconditions
Constructionwork
Afterextendedoperationinmud,sand,water,or
similardirtyconditions,haveyourbrakesinspected
andcleanedassoonaspossible.Thiswillprevent
anyabrasivematerialfromcausingexcessivewear.
Underfrequentheavydutyoperatingconditions,
lubricateallgreasettingsandinspectaircleaner
dailytopreventexcessivewear.
JackingtheVehicle
Whenevertheengineisrunforroutinemaintenance
and/orenginediagnostics,therearwheelsofthevehicle
shouldbe1inch(25mm)offthegroundwiththerear
axlesupportedonjackstands.
Thevehiclemaybeunstablewhenusinga
jack.Itcouldslipoffthejack,injuringanyone
beneathit.
Donotstarttheenginewhilethevehicleis
onajack.
Alwaysremovethekeyfromtheignition
beforegettingoffofthevehicle.
Blockthetireswhenthevehicleisonajack.
Thejackingpointatthefrontofthevehicleisonthe
frontoftheframebehindthetowingtongue(Figure29)
Thejackingpointattherearofthevehicleisunderthe
axletubes(Figure30).
