downasyoudrivethevehicle,youcanadjustthelatch
poststomakethelatchestsnugly.

OperatingtheTailgateLatches
1.Toopenthetailgatelatches,liftthelatchhandlesup
(Figure26).Thelatcheswillspringouttowardthe
centerofthetailgate.Slowlylowerthetailgate.
Note:Youmayneedtopushtheendofthetailgate
in(especiallyifthereisaloadagainstthetailgate)
beforethelatcheswillspringtowardthecenterof
thetailgateandrelease.
