7. Tighten the pump mounting bolts (Fig. 164).

8. Install the key in the hydrostatic pump shaft.
9. Apply some anti-seize compound to the shaft (Fig.
165).
Note: Before installing the pulley replace the set
screws. The ends of the set screws have a
knurled cup point for retention and must not
be re-used.
Note: Apply a drop of thread-locking material to the
threads of each set screw.
10. Install the pulley.
11. Align the outer edge of the hydrostatic pump pulley
using a straight edge, to the outer edge of the
existing pump pulley (Fig. 166).
Note: Deck drive belt was removed for clarity.

12. Tighten the two square head set screws on the
pump sheave (Fig. 167).
