When the system is charged with refrigerant at the factory, the amount of refrigerant needed for the pipes at the site is not
included. Calculate the additional amount needed, and add that amount to the system.
Calculation
Calculate the additional refrigerant to be added to the system on the basis of the size of the liquid-side pipes in use at the
site, and their length.
Refrigerant to be added at site =
(length of liquid-side pipe) x (additional amount of refrigerant per meter of liquid-side pipe)
Additional refrigerant R (kg) = (L1 x 0.030kg/m)
