Precaution for address setting by NetTool
There is a difference in the specifications of the address for setting I / O between NetTool and
SyCon.
- SyCon : Word address setting
- NetTool : Byte address setting
Therefore, it is necessary to set carefully whether the addresses match when using NetTool to
make the same settings as SysCon.
[
Example
]
When setting 1-byte I / O and 2-bytes I / O by NetTool in the same way as SyCon, adjust the
address so that 1-byte address is available in NetTool as shown in the following figure.
Please note that the default setting operation of NetTool will set the I / O by packing the
addresses.

Notes on the I/O registration order of NetTool
The PROFIBUS-DP transmission control module (manufactured by HMS) of PF612A checks the
consistency of the configuration data. Therefore, it is necessary to register I/O to NetTool in the
order of Slot1: INPUT, Slot2: OUTPUT. If the order is reversed, PROFIBUS setting error (OP:
Red (2 time flash)) will occur and communication will not be possible.
Figure 3-5 I/O registration order of NetTool
The old module, PF612 PROFIBUS-DP transmission control module (manufactured by HMS),
does not check the consistency of the configuration data, so the I/O registration order for
INPUT/OUTPUT does not matter as long as the total data size is correct.
