8. Press FB6 to enter the Strata CIX Strata Net node number of the Strata CIX node that
contains the xIPU to which this IPT interfaces, then press . This FB setting is for
Strata CIX networked systems only.
9. Press
FB11 for xIPU IP address mode. Press one of the following:
1: manual setting, then press . Press FB12 and enter the xIPU IP address, then

2: auto setting by broadcast, then press .
10. Press
again to set all the above data.
11. Go off-hook and hang up. The IP endpoint will search for
the xIPU, initialise and then
set the IP address (from 20 sec. to 60 sec.). Time, Date and PDN displays on LCD
when the information is set.
Notes
• See Table 16 on page 119 for an explanation of the LCDs that you will see during this
procedure.
• If registration fails, check with the Administrator for the correct password (FB26).
 To manually set up the VLAN ID
The following steps are for manually setting the
VLAN ID in an IPT. If this system is not
using VLAN tags or is using only the default (VID = 1) value, these steps are not
required.
1. Press and then
3+6+9+ (simultaneously). The display will show
“Program Select =”
2. Press
2, then press the soft key Scrl until FB21 is indicated.
3. Press
FB21 for VLAN Enable/Disable; 1 = Enable VLAN, 2 = Disable VLAN.
4. Press
FB22 to enter the VLAN ID (1 – 4094) for this phone.
5. Press
FB23 set the PC Port Type, 1 = Access, 2 = Trunk.
6. Press
FB24 to enter the PC Port VLAN ID (1 – 4094).
