About the Juno series handheld
The Juno series includes the Juno SC and Juno SB
handhelds. These handhelds combine a high
sensitivity GPS receiver with a field computer
powered by the Windows Mobile version 6.1
operating system.
The Juno series handheld has built-in Bluetooth
®
wireless technology for cable-free connection to
other devices, and wireless LAN (Local Area
Network) connectivity for connections to networks.
In addition, the Juno SC handheld contains a cellular
modem for downloading and transmitting data.
The integrated GPS receiver provides accurate
positioning information within 5 meters when using
real-time or postprocessed differential correction.

Supported GPS field software
To collect GPS data with the Juno series handheld, you must install GPS field software
onto the handheld. You can use the Juno series handheld with the following GPS field
software:
• Trimble TerraSync
™
software, for configuring real-time differential correction
options and for productive GIS data collection and maintenance.
• The Trimble GPScorrect
™
extension for ESRI ArcPad software, for configuring
real-time differential correction options and for productive GIS data collection
and maintenance.
• The Trimble GPS Pathfinder
®
Tools Software Development Kit (SDK), for
integrating GPS data and adding value to an existing mapping and GIS field
software application.
• Trimble GPS Controller software, for configuring real-time differential
correction options and NMEA output settings.
• Other GPS field software that accepts NMEA messages.
