Installing and Using Alkaline Batteries
The Model 4590 gauge includes alkaline battery for backup use.
To install the batteries:

Turn the gauge off.

Remove the two thumb screws on the battery cover.

Remove the black battery holder from the battery well and
remove the old batteries.

Install five standard AA alkaline batteries into the
battery holder, alternating positive and negative.

Replace the battery holder into the battery well and replace
the cover and screws.
NOTE
To power the gauge using the alkaline batteries, refer
to the Battery Preference section on page 5–9.
