WARNING
● Turn OFF the Power Supply to do the electrical connection.
Never try to work on it on keeping the electricity turned ON.
● A correct wiring work must observe the law and the rule that
relates safely. A wrong wiring work might start a fire.
● Take measures, such as a lockout/tag out, to avoid turning on the
power switch by mistake during the operation.
● An electric shock or a fire may occur in the event of failure or
current leakage.
Be sure to establish a ground.
It is also recommended to install a dedicated ground-fault
interrupter.
The ground terminal on the motor side is the screw indicated by
the ground mark " " in the terminal box.
The cable wire size connected to the ground shall be at least the
same as that of the power cable for the motor.
Depending on your voltage of the power supply, the ground
resistance is:
・200V to 230V: 100Ω or less
・400V to 460V: 10Ω or less
● Install an overcurrent protection device in the electrical
connections to prevent burnout of the motor due to an
overcurrent.
● Install an overload protector suitable for the capacity of the motor.
If an overload protector is not installed, or if an overload protector
that is unsuitable for the motor capacity is installed, the motor will
be damaged leading to fire.
● Use a magnetic switch that works at the rated current value of the
motor for use.
(1) Set the protector to the motor's rated current value compliant
with the voltage and the frequency of the power supply.
(2) If the motor is different from the standard type, set the
protector to the rated current value of your motor.
● After installing the wiring, be sure to attach the terminal cover.
● Do not use the motor at a voltage other than its rated value.
The overcurrent protection device does not work properly, causing
burnout of the motor or a fire.
CAUTION
● Do the Direct-in start connection. The Star delta connection might
have a trouble in starting.
